Keanu Reeves Meets Czech President Petr Pavel During Prague Visit
Hollywood actor and musician Keanu Reeves paid a visit to Prague Castle on Sunday, where he and his bandmates from Dogstar were welcomed by Czech President Petr Pavel.
The American rock band is scheduled to perform at Prague’s SaSaZu club on Monday evening. The concert was originally planned for Archa+, but organizers moved it to the larger venue after tickets sold quickly.
The show has since sold out.
Before taking the stage, the musicians spent part of their day exploring Prague Castle. President Pavel shared photos from the meeting on his Instagram account, revealing that the visit ended with a relaxed stop at the historic Vikárka restaurant inside the castle grounds.
“The Californian rock band Dogstar visited Prague Castle today. In this heat, we wrapped up the tour with a cold beer at the Vikárka pub,” Pavel wrote.
Although the president did not mention Reeves by name, the actor—who plays bass for Dogstar—is clearly visible in the photographs alongside the rest of the band.
One of the images shows Pavel and the musicians seated near a wall displaying historic photographs, including a well-known image of former Czech President Václav Havel sharing a beer with former U.S. President Bill Clinton.
Dogstar was founded in Los Angeles in 1991 and reunited in recent years after a long hiatus. The group has been touring internationally following the release of its latest music, with Prague marking one of the stops on its European schedule.
